Things to Know Before Buying  a Computer Desk for Your Child

• Safety is one of the first factors to consider.  Look for a desk that has smooth clean lines,with solid construction, an attached seat will prevent the child from rocking back and forth on a chair
  

• Be sure the height of the desk is age appropriate in design. Approximately 19" for a  PreShcool child and 23" for a Grade School child

• The height of the desk is also important for the child's field of vision. Tilt the computer down slightly so your child can look down at his or her work.


• Having a desk designed with ergonomic principles will help to promote good posture, reduces neck and arm strain.

• The light should be bright enough so you child won't have to strain there eyes. Place lamps in a place where they won't cause a glare in the computer screen.
